past life regression as therapy.

as we evaluate our lives through the filter of what we know and believe we become more confident, or certainly encouraged, to look at different modes of "knowing" ourselves.

the concept of past-life regression explores what we have come to understand as memories of lives lived in the past, before we were physically born.

whether we actually have access to this knowledge in objective reality is outside of the scope of this post, but suffice to say that the understanding we receive from the process of regression can shed light on what we know to be the self in the present, which is the goal of therapy.

the lives we experience in regression give us an expanded conscious understanding of what it means to be alive and what it means to deal with confict, tragedy and the eventual death of these people in the past that we were, in the context of the regression process.

i will explore whether we actually were the people we have memories of in the next post.
